I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Airlines (Buenos Aires) in Aug 2015
Interview
Applied online. First you have to create an online profile in AACareers to be able to apply for the job. It was mandatory to have a valid passport and an american tourist visa to continue the process (a statement that you did the visa and you were waiting for the passport was okay). In the online profile you upload your resume and past experiences.
Then, you get an email with a link to answer several multiple questions regarding on board situations to behavior and personality questions (around 100 questions). After that, you will get an invitation for a video interview. The video interview was fairly simple, 5 direct questions in a very clear English. After that, if you are successful, they will arrange a face to face interview (F2F).
The F2F was set up in a downtown hotel. The process was very amicable with a very relax environment. There were people both from the local base and Dallas. First of all, they arrange the 36 people selected in groups of 6. They asked them to determine 3 things that they have in common and then to right something unique about themselves. Its just a game to relax but its important to participate. Then they interviewed the groups of 6, lots of questions thrown and this might be the big filter. Some questions will be answer by all 6 and some only by yourself.
After that, they do a final talk where they talk about the benefits and answer the questions of the group. They dismissed all of the people, telling them that they will receive news within 1 to 2 weeks, Just a selected group of 10 were selected for an individual interview (they said that they were selected for additional information that they didn't submitted before).
In the one on one talk, it was fairly straight questions, some of them both in Spanish and English. Looking to know more about past experiences and works ethics. Still, the environment was really relax and the AA staff was really kind and helpful.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One I remember them asking is, “Why American Airlines?”
Lengthy! Group interview is online and then a face to face. Whole process is about a month or so. Perhaps longer for some! The online interview is about an hour or so.
