      Open Banking Manager Interview

      Aug 29, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Express (London, England) in Apr 2019

      Interview

A very unprofessional and thoughtless process. I had 6 rounds of interviews and was then approached directly by the London head to do an 'off the book' presentation on Open Banking. I was told I would have a response after this final round in 3-4 days. I was then ignored and not contacted with an answer until 6-7 weeks later! When I insisted on feedback from the manager because I made the presentation at her request and put a lot of time and effort into it, I was told 'no further feedback would be given'. Despite the original feedback, after such a long lag, simply being 'be more strategic' - that's all. I found out from the external recruiter they'd ALREADY hired someone via an internal transfer ages before - but strung me along all in all for close to 2 months. A very appalling process and disappointing attitude and professionalism from the hiring manager.
