I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (Paris) in Sep 2013
Interview
Easy and straightforward. Just two ITWs with top executives in France and the US. The process took one month overall. I felt very confident from day one. I just had to fulfil a lot of documents for HR but nothing complicated and I was asked to provide my diplomas and previous salaries. I found the overall process easy and really quick.
I had three rounds of interviews. After third, there was no follow up by Amex. I contacted HR for status updates three times and took them 2 full months to confirm they were not moving forward with my candidacy. It was obvious to me they moved on but they did not have the decency or professionalism to notify me. Disappointed in an Amex.
Interview process itself was brief. Spoke with a recruiter based out of India for screening. Spoke with two people internally. One of whom showed up 15 minutes late to a 30 minute interview. Did not hear anything from them for 6 weeks, and then the person who I would have reported in to called me to tell me I hadn't gotten the job.
