I interviewed at American Family Care (Lakewood Ranch, FL)
Interview
The interview process was relatively easy. I was asked what expected I had in the medical field. If I had any experience drawing blood and working in a lab. How I would handle difficult or scared patients. What I could contribute to the team.
I applied online. I interviewed at American Family Care (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2025

Received an interview shortly after applying. Lasted about 30 minutes. Asked me about myself. Asked me how I would handle certain situations specific to the role and speciality. Also asked what my previous employer would say my greatest strengths and weaknesses are.

Question 1
The lead operations manager asked a lot of questions about high school, which to me in my mid 30s felt a bit irrelevant to the position I was applying for as there was so much more she could have requested of me that would have been more important to the position.
Such as the skills I have, or what my team (who are the people I regularly work with would say about me.) Or what I might say about my own personal strengths and weaknesses are.
Instead, they asked me about my management. Which was ok… I guess… but it felt as though she kept wanting me to bad mouth each of them only pressing for a negative response and gossip. This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
It made it hard for me to stay on track as I kept trying to redirect to my work skills instead of just talking about the negatives I experienced in previously held positions.
