I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Heart Association (Miami, FL) in Feb 2012
Interview
Depending the person that will give you the internship, they ask you different questions. For example, if the Events Specialist is interviewing you he/she may be focused your personality, and match ways you can contribute to the AHA. It really depends on the person that is interviewing you. There may be the driver personality type that is only focused on results and there are certainly those that exist in the AHA.

I completed a one way video interview. I answered questions while filming my response. Then I had a phone call interview, which was pretty typical. They were friendly, but the process was slow. Between each step there was about a 3-4 week wait.
