Amplify Credit Union interview questions

I applied online and it was easy enough. I was called and briefly screened by a recruiter over the phone. They scheduled me for a face to face interview a week later. I met with a branch manager and assistant branch manager where they asked me standard customer service questions. The process was professional and comfortable. The recruiter, and branch managers both stated I would receive a response/ feedback within 2 weeks. They were very reassuring of this. However I never heard from anyone from amplify again. A month later my application status was changed in the website to "not selected" and that's how I found out I wasn't progressing further.

The recruiter first had a phone interview and it went very well. The questions she asked made it easy for me to showcase my personality and talk about my leadership and sales philosophies. The second interview was with the AVP and VP of banking, it was a lot more conversational and mostly questions centered around whether this would be a good fit for both parties as I was coming from a big bank. Looking back, I believe they might have already had a candidate in mind because the AVP looked a bit bored toward the end and I found myself only engaging with the VP. It was an interesting interview because they talked a lot about the growth of the bank and new technologies being rolled out, but I realized afterwards that there weren’t a lot of questions about me personally. Only disappointing part of the process was not getting a phone call rejection. It took about a week to get an email rejection, which I suppose is typical but I really like to see interviews as networking opportunities and would have loved to keep a connection there. I felt a little blown off by the impersonal rejection, but I can understand that those conversations can be difficult and really aren’t a great use of a recruiter’s time. Overall it was super interesting to learn about the bank and everyone was very professional and welcoming.
