      Financial Analyst Interview

      Jul 1, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics in Jun 2016

      Interview

I applied at AppDynamics and process took over 3 weeks. Someone from HR reached out to me and asked to do a phone screen. He was 40 minutes late. Did not even offer an explanation for his lack of punctuality, let alone an apology. Did not feel the need to go over the job role or company expectations. Did not even try to find out what I can do for the company and what my capabilities are. Straight away he said I am inexperienced for the given role and see if I might like another junior level role. No professional tact when it comes to finding salary expectations and was very undiplomatic HR personnel like this speak to candidates on behalf of the company, are ruining the game for ya'll. I am sure the top management is really nice and CEO might be best leader. But no self respecting candidate would want to talk to recruiters like him. You may as well make jumping to conclusion your full time business.

We're sincerely sorry that you had this experience with us. Our recruiters are very experienced in their fields, and the greatest thing about them is that they are always pro-candidate! We review every resume that comes into our system and see which qualify for the roles applied for. Many candidates do not realize that though they may qualify for the job, the pool of applicants they are compared too is also very competitive. If a recruiter thinks highly of your background, rather than sending an automated rejection email, they will reach out and ask if you'd like to be put up for another role they deem more fit. Why? Because we want you here with us! We are sorry for the misunderstanding, and wish you the best in your job search.

      Interview

Very disorganized. Also there was lack of clear communication that I needed a PC 💻 laptop.I do not own one so they expected me to buy a laptop for an interview just ridiculous

      Question 1

Why did you move to the United States? Where did you learn excel? High school or college? We’re you taught Xlookup in college? As you can tell this was pure harassment and very unprofessional
