      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Appian (McLean, VA) in Sep 2022

      Interview

I had three interviews total. 1) Interview with HR: It was a very informative interview and just basic questions about my background and introduction of the position. They were very straightforward in terms of speaking about the salary and their budget for the position. 2) Assessment: I had an assessment related to the position I applied for. It was somewhat easy. 3) Interview with the hiring manager: It was very pleasant as she was just trying to understand my background and my experience. 4) Panel interview: I had 4 interviews of 30 mins each with 3 people from the department I applied for and 1 from the Engineering department. If you understand the STAR interview method you shouldn’t have a lot of issues answering their questions. Not a lot of technical questions, but I had to explain my train of thought when completing the assessment. - If you happen to pass the interview with the hiring manager, the HR team will help you to get ready for the “panel” interview and their help is essential if you want to have a successful interview. Don’t worry too much about showing how hard of a worker you are. I think if you are yourself and show to them that you truly want to work for the company and you are a great professional, that will do to succeed in the interview.

      Question 1

      - Walk me through the assessment and how you got to this conclusion.
