Waste of time, the female HR sobitha had scheduled call for 2 times and both the times she did not join the call . This is ridiculous if you’re not interested in interviewing the candidate then please don’t waste their time , this shows what type of company Appian is indirectly.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Appian (McLean, VA) in Apr 2021
Interview
A recruiter approached in LinkedIn. I asked if the role offer sponsorship & only after recruiter confirmed they can. I accepted for recruiter call.
Recruiter call :
- Intro about the company, team , JD , stack of technologies
- Intro about myself , work experience & stack of technologies I worked on
- Difference between my current & previous work experience
- What is the proudest moment in my current job ?
- What do I enjoy working on Front end or back end stack ?
- Why am I looking to move ?
- Work authorizations ?
- Daily duties ?
- What type of methodologies followed in current job ?
The call was around 45mins & he said he is pretty impressed with my experience as I explained & also gave me insights of 2 positions I would be fit for & he would reach out to the managers & share my profile.
Recruiter mentioned there is sponsorship for sure & said he would send out next steps process after discussing my profile. I waited for next round of interview steps for 5 days & followed up with recruiter.
Recruiter got back saying they are unable to move forward due to visa sponsorship.
I felt very bizarre, why would they even call me at first when they are not sure of sponsorship details of the position when I clearly asked for it in the first place.
I just suggest the recruiters to not waste a candidate's time without giving correct information before even starting the process.
