I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Applied Materials in Mar 2014
Interview
Called for on-site interview, and got interviewed by five managers/directors. Asked questions on my phd research, very random and broad. Also some questions on CVD, etching. No research presentation required.
Easy phone interview with the hiring manager and the team that has the opening. Flight to Gloucester 5 days later for in site interview. Gave a presentation and had six 30min-interviews with HR, engineers, scientist, directors and team leaders. Everybody is nice, no hard question. Hiring manager said she would contact me in a few weeks but nothing from her since 1.5 months.
