Interview
Meeting with recruiter, seemed to go well. Didn't hear back for a couple of weeks, reached out to recruiter. Finally got assigned a test on Codesignal (not even allowed to reference outside materials btw!). Completed that in a timely manner and hit all requirements...you know the rest, ghosted before receiving a generic rejection email. When you put time and effort in to the process, some feedback would be nice. Also, while I get that they want to prevent AI usage in the test, I can't remember every tailwind class that I might need.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Build a react component to handle list manipulation.
Code review for a function.

Interview
I interviewed for a position in Toronto, Ontario, in February 2025.
Stage 1: Pre-Screening
I passed the pre-screening test with HR. I initially received a rejection, but later, I got a message saying it was a mistake (red flag?). By the way, HR was very professional and polite.
Stage 2: CodeSignal Test
A two-hour CodeSignal test with a React CRUD task and a free-text code review task. Easy-peasy.
Stage 3: Behavioral Interview
A one-hour behavioral interview with the manager. I felt a connection and was really excited. Manager was amazing!
Stage 4: Live Coding
A one-hour React live coding session with a Counter task. The interviewers were really nice guys!
Outcome
And then, a rejection with "we needed someone with more hands-on experience." It was the exact same rejection that others have mentioned on Glassdoor. It seems the company isn't actually looking for anyone, as this Senior React Developer position has been open since the end of 2024 - more than two months now (red flag?). And during live coding interviewers told me that they have no idea for what team they are hiring (red flag?).
It seems Arctic Wolf is not looking for a Senior React Developer right now and it is more a ghost job, and this is sad.

Interview
The interview was nice. First round with HR, where I was asked some general questions about me and my past experience. Second round was an assessment task in CodeSignal which consists of 2 steps- to create a component in React and a code review. Unfortunately, didn't get further, but so far the process was nice and smooth.
