Whole process was lengthy and confusing. During the span of two months, both the hiring manager and recruiter changed twice. No one could explain reporting structure, and everyone had a different expectation for the role, all of which differed greatly from what was written in the job description. A large number of the interviewers were Director level or above and left unanswered questions feeling like one managerial misfire after another. Too many irrelevant interviews for such a niche role; I spent most of the time educating interviewers on the subject matter.
STEPS:
1) Phone screen with Recruiter #1
2) Phone screen with new Recruiter #2
3) Phone interview with Hiring Manager #1
4) Flown to NorCal for three-hour f-2-f interviews, all director level, including the new Hiring Manager #2
5) F-2-F interviews with more directors in SoCal office
6) Rejection email from recruiter #1
