I applied online. I interviewed at BNP Paribas (Tokyo) in May 2020
Interview
Online Interviews (2 hours)
3 Japanese BNP employee and an American BNP employee, interviews done in both English and Japanese.
Interviewers were friendly although the interview itself was quite high pressure - If your answer is vague and unclear, they will pinpoint that area for clarification. As long as one prepares well and has high emotional strength, it did not seem like a tough interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What compels you to apply to BNP Paribas?
What do you think is the next objective for Japan, in the journey of integrating and spreading ESG investment?
Good interview process, had an OA, then an interview with a trader, then had a final round interview with a news flash, math & logic test, and dicussion with other prospective interns
Very technical for first round, asked a lot of mental math, bond math and brain teasers only one behavioural question which was tell me about yourself and why you applied
Did an online assessment and then an interview with a trader. Was not the easiest interview. Maths and brain teasers. The brain teasers specifically were not easy initially. Did not make it to the next round
