I applied online. The recruiting team was great about reaching out and setting up a preliminary interview with a recruiter within a few days of my application. In that first interview, my recruiter very quickly made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident as he jumped right into explaining the role, the team structure, and the interview process. He then asked me a couple of questions specific to the role and took notes so he could pitch me to the team. He also pointed out holes in my candidate profile and worked with me to fix them so he could present a better picture of me, which I thought was incredible. About two weeks later, I was invited to a second interview with the team manager and her supervisor, where I was asked a few more specific questions about how I would handle situations and meet all the job responsibilities. These questions were a little bit more difficult to answer because they weren’t phrased particularly clearly. (Plus, one of the interviewers seemed almost more nervous than I was.) I was also able to ask a few more specific things about the role itself and team dynamics. I did receive a rejection letter after the second interview and deeply appreciate the respect everyone showed me the entire way. If I had made it past the second interview, I would have taken a skills test and then completed a final interview with someone else. I do believe three interviews to be excessive for this sort of job (likely to pay less than 60k a year), but I do hope it helps the company find the person they are looking for.
