I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Belk (Columbia, SC) in Sep 2015
Interview
It was the normal process you would expect from a company. I was able to interview with the HR manager and the department manager. Both were very nice and explained the duties and expectations of the sales associates. I had a lot of questions and they were very eager to answer them. They gave me the impression that working with the company would feel like a family environment.
I was a referral and had a brief discussion with the manager and got the job relatively easily. I think getting this job was one of the easier jobs I was able to obtain. However, this was back in 2010.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me what my availability would be since it was around the holiday season.
One Interview with the department manager for a sales position. Super short, simple, and to the point.
I received the offer same down and then had to schedule onboarding with Human Resources.
It was your basic questions. Went fine. Nothing too detailed but it was for a base position at the holidays. They were looking for anyone dependable with a car basically.
