Bento for Business interview questions

Had an initial phone screening, then a longer phone discussion followed by three hours on-site. The team I met with were very engaging. It was a collaborative and open discussion with lots of constructive dialogue and opportunity to ask direct questions. I was very excited about continuing the process and had many signals that the feeling was mutual. They asked for work samples and references and ended up calling all of the references I provided. About a week goes by and the hiring manager goes dark. He does ultimately text that they are working through the process with a promise to follow up soon. I follow up after another several days and get an impersonal text that they are moving forward with another candidate but that he, the hiring manager would call to provide more specific feedback. At the same time corona hits the US hard. Have tried twice to follow up with no response. I understand the macro events that have significant impact and the hiring process can result in not being selected. I respect that. Unfortunately I was left with many unanswered questions and no follow up as promised. Disappointed as it seems like a compelling product and company.
