      Business Intelligence Analyst Interview

      Nov 12, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Black & Veatch

      Interview

The interview process was very long, but not difficult. It consisted of an Introductory screening interview with HR, then two rounds of panel interviews with future colleagues. The entire process was LONG, it took about 4 months from start to finish. Interviews with the team went really well, interactions with HR were difficult. I would not have had an issue with the process taking so long if there had been timely communication, but this was not the case. I found myself working with several different HR representatives throughout the process, which was very confusing, and was ghosted by several members of the HR team for weeks on end. I sent 3-4 requests for updates spaced a couple weeks apart and eventual came to the conclusion that I had been ghosted. A few weeks later, I received an email from someone in HR apologizing for the delay and citing internal re-organization on the hiring team as the reason. I decided to continue on with the interview process and was eventually awarded a verbal offer only to receive several more iterations of waiting and lack of contact. I eventually received a physical offer. Even thought the process was incredibly frustrating, I chose to accept because I enjoyed the team and individuals I interviewed with so much. I am very, very glad that I did not give my notice to my previous employer until I had the offer letter signed and in hand, background and drug test complete. I was then shuffled through a whole new set of HR folks to begin the onboarding process. The experience left a lot to be desired.
