Please do not ghost your candidates!
I was contacted through LinkedIn for a call with the a recruiter. I’ve always liked Square so I took up the opportunity to chat with the recruiter. After emailing the date and time the recruiter took quite a long time to get back and agreed upon a date. And after the initial call took place I never heard back from the recruiter again. I can understand if my background wasn’t a good fit for the position but ghosting candidates showed lack of follow through or just plain arrogance on the recruiter side. This experience by no means changes my perception of Square overall. However, my advice for the recruiting team is to use an ATS that can help you send delayed emails to close the loop, whatever the outcome.
