Application
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Boston, MA) in Feb 2021
Interview
Went to an online career fair for my college campus. I spoke with a current employee about their time at Booz Allen and he informed me of how the interview process will go. I was later invited to a virtual University Tech Talk. Following that I had two phone screenings with recruiters about my potential fit for some positions, and I heard back for an interview about a week later. The interview itself was one round with a hiring team and it felt just like a casual conversation.
Overall, great interviewing experience.
Applied through employee referral. Within a couple days I was contacted by a recruiter who conducted a brief phone screening and directed me towards their online application portal (Workday). A few days after submitting an application, a coordinator reached out to me to set up an interview (to be conducted via Webex) for the following week.
The interview itself was fairly simple. It was scheduled to be with a panel of three (although only two were present); there were no technical questions; mostly inquiring about my education, work history, accomplishments, etc; and discussing the position I was applying for in greater detail (both interviewers were engineers experienced with the projects this position would be working on). This part of the process felt more like a friendly conversation with future coworkers than a traditional interview.
About two hours after finishing the interview, I received an offer through the original coordinator.
