I had applied a few months previous for a different position. I got a call from the HR person, filled out a questionnaire but never heard anything and did not follow up. I was not hitting the job market very hard so when I got a call a few months later for a different position I was still interested. Went in for a face to face interview a week later and had a second face to face after that. The interview was panel style and I was able to meet the managers in the chain of command. They did an excellent job of explaining the position and the roles/responsibilities to me. The questions were both behavioral and technical but based on my resume experiences. I actually really enjoyed the interview.
