I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Box (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Overall, the interview process was well organized and a pleasant experience. Started with a preliminary phone screening, a phone interview with the hiring manager and Inside Sales team manager, then an on site with peers on the Inside Sales team, and both managers of the team. All in all, great experience with the interview. HOWEVER - I was rejected after the on site interview. A few weeks later one of the recruiters for Box sent me a message on LinkedIn asking if I was interested in applying for the SAME ROLE that I had already been rejected for. Considered it to be a slip up and was polite in my response that I had already applied. THEN a few days later, the SAME recruiter called me in the middle of the day on my cell phone to follow up on the note that I had already responded to to see if I was interested in the role. Really frustrating experience after the interview, and wish that their recruiting team had their ducks in a row more. Upset by this experience and would NOT recommend Box to people in my network because of it.

Interview
Although the process itself took less than 2 months, it was an in depth process. There were multiple phone interviews, an in-person panel of 4 people, and an in person presentation. My impression from the entire process is that they want to figure out both if you are an experience-fit for the role as well as a culture-fit for the company. If they believe that you should be a Box employee, they will do everything they can to make you successful in the interview process - they appreciate people who show a strong work ethic and display your genuine personality.
