The job wasn't a fit for me, and I could tell the recruiter felt the same. That's no big deal-- it happens. But the attitude wasn't warranted.
The line of questioning was very interrogative, and the recruiter made it clear it was not a marketing position, which I was seeking. Okay. I still answered her questions the best I could, but found it fair to ask what attracted Box to my resume, and she stated it was because of my current experience as an analyst. Also fair. They explained the role and next steps for a few minutes, and I literally said "okay great, thank you," and not even to say to end the conversation. All the recruiter said was "have a nice day" and literally hung up on me before I could ask anything else, thank me for my/their time or even acknowledge that the call was now over. I get that it clearly wasn't a match for this particular role, but it's extremely unprofessional to hang up on candidates no matter what. I don't think I will ever apply to this company again. Your recruiters need to do better.
