We agreed to further discuss the specifics and determine the scope of work, with me proposing my hourly rates. However, after our initial meeting, the communication abruptly stopped. Despite my efforts to follow up through email and LinkedIn messages, I never received a response. It was disappointing because the CEO had initially expressed interest and encouraged me to set a fair rate based on the value I could provide. The lack of communication and closure left me feeling uncertain and confused about the situation. As professionals, we expect transparency and clear communication throughout the hiring process. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of those expectations.
