Interview
I applied for a Senior Security Consultant role and had a positive initial call with an internal recruiter. I was told my background aligned well with the role and that the interview process would follow three clearly defined stages, starting with a relaxed, two-way introductory conversation.
The first stage did not reflect what had been described. Two interviewers were present despite being told to expect one, and the session quickly became a structured, assessment-driven interview with limited opportunity to discuss my experience. Although I was encouraged to prepare questions in advance, I was given around three minutes at the end to ask my own questions.

Question 1
- What experience do you have with cloud security and risk management?
- What experience do you have implementing security standards such as ISO 27001 or NIST?
I applied for the role and received an email to arrange a call. The call eventually took place, it was a positive call, and I had relevant experience which matched the role. I was told I would receive an email regarding next steps, and haven't heard anything since. I have sent up chase emails, but to no avail. Being ghosted is shocking and completely unprofessional. If that is the way you treat potential colleagues, God knows what happens once you're in there. Absolutely appalling experience.
