      Customer Care Agent Interview

      May 18, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Newcastle upon Tyne, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at British Airways (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in May 2017

      Interview

To be able to apply for the job you must partake in personality and accuracy tests (basically spot the difference) one you've passed your application is accepted. If your application is successful you will be contacted by phone to book a slot for a telephone interview, it'll last around 20 minutes but the time will fly by. They just ask the usual interview questions such as why do you want to work with us? How do you think you will fit in? What is the relevant experience you have? Etc. The interviewer will stay silent mostly as they type notes so don't worry if they don't say much. They will put you on hold while they finish typing notes and then will tell you if you've been successful as while you are on hold they secretly grade your responses. You will then receive an email to complete some more questions which are mostly just security questions to prove who you are. After you will receive another email to book a slot at an assessment centre. When you arrive you'll be with around 22 people and you will be there for around 3.5 hours. You will sit in a class room where they will give you information about British Airways and then you will commence in ice breakers with the group you're in, an English and Maths test and an Accuracy test. You Will then be given a word (mine was "thorough") and you will be given 5 minutes to plan a 2 minute presentation on the definition of that word & how it applies to the airline. While you do this, assessors will be sat at your table but you are not to acknowledge them as they are only taking notes. The assessors will then leave and you will be asked to do a roleplay exercise where you will sit back to back with different assessors (in a private room away from everyone else so dont be nervous!) and pretend to be on the phone while they are wanting to make an upgrade on their flights. You will have a laminated piece of paper infront of you with all of the information you need. I was really nervous but it was actually relaxed & easy.
