      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at British Airways (Crawley, West Sussex, South East England, England) in Dec 2023

      Interview

BA Holidays streamlined their recruitment with a one-day process at Crawley's Premier Inn. The morning brought efficient insights: introductions, engaging group exercises (web booking debate, BA Holidays task), and assessments. Shortlisted candidates enjoyed lunch and individual interviews in the afternoon, diving deeper into skills and fit. Overall, an organized and insightful experience, offering a comprehensive look at the role and vibrant company culture.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

During the interview, I started by outlining my career path, highlighting the development of my soft skills and relevant experience acquired through various roles. We then delved deeper into my recent position as a Corporate Travel Agent, where they were particularly interested in my negotiation experiences with companies. They inquired about my report-writing process and subsequent actions, wanting to know if I implemented recommended suggestions or adapted them based on further analysis. Finally, we discussed the potential challenges I may face in transitioning to this new role, allowing me to express my willingness to learn and adapt.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at British Airways (Gatwick, England) in Dec 2023

      Interview

British Airways Holidays* - they didn't do a screening call which could have saved a lot of people's time. After the online application myself and around 10 others were asked to book a day off of work and travel up to an assessment day which started at 09:30 at Gatwick Airport. The staff are all friendly and have worked there a long time, which is a good sign that the culture is decent. The main issue I took away was that there were clear skills and experience which you needed for the job which could have been better explained with a screening call before the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1 - Work in teams of 2 to discus the benefits of booking with/without a packaged holiday provider. 2 - Work in pairs to answer a few scenarios on how you would deal with supplier issues. 3 - Spend 10 mins alone doing a spot the difference game with 2 hotel contracts. People were then selected for one-to-one interviews to discus job experience.
