      Relationship Manager Interview

      Sep 11, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bullhorn

      Interview

I admire the company as a whole, and I am sad it didn’t work out. However, the interview process was not good. I was told by a recruiter to try for another position, and if it didn’t work out, the other would be a lock for me. But then, in the panel interview, one of the first questions was if I was a mother or wanted a child. I get that these interviews are intended to be conversational, but there’s no world it’s okay to ask that. I’m still debating talking to my family lawyer about it. Also, I was asked about why I’d like and perform well in the position, and I gave an answer that I identified with from an actual person who explained why they liked this specific position at Bullhorn. On their YT career page. an official response… And then in feedback, was told that answer was wrong. But I was repeating what their content represented. So, the feedback was either false, or the hiring people and recruiter have not watched the content Bullhorn presents. I believe in this company, but not the people representing the company. Lastly, I was referred to this different position, but I asked four times for the new job description, and was repeatedly sent the old one not specific to the new one. And, the hiring manager, said, yeah we need to update that, and it never was updated to me or even for later postings. I don’t get how you hire for a position and can’t update the job description, especially upon multiple requests.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Are you a mother? or want to be? one of the first questions. I have done hiring and interviewing, and there is no world a hiring team shouldn’t have been trained that asking that is not ok.

Thank you for this feedback. I know I am delayed on the response, but I did immediately follow up on your feedback with our internal teams back last year. I'm sorry we missed the mark so completely here, and have used the feedback to strengthen our hiring process. Best wishes in your career journey. - Kelley Morse, CPO
