CORD Financial Services interview questions

The entire interviewing process was slow paced and uncomfortable. They brought me in for 2 in-person interviews only to get back to me a month and a half later to say they decided to move forward with another candidate. When checking on an update for the position, I received an extremely rude response saying that they had bigger priorities than getting back to me and would contact me at a later time. Basically, we'll get back to you when it's convenient for us to do so. As if anyone with half a brain applying for work somewhere is just sitting on their laurels waiting for this one job to get back to them for a month. During the second round of in-person interviews, they asked me the same exact questions they had asked in the first interview. Then, conveniently they started in the second round asking me way too much information about my personal life and why I had recently moved to the area. Leading me to say that my husband's work had brought me to the area. Then leading to the question of what my husband did for work. Then prodding me to say that my husband is in the military. Equal opportunity laws state that this is illegal to dive into such personal questions. At one point, they even made a reference to the fact that I was female so I wouldn't have to worry about a certain topic. While they won't state this explicitly, I'm fairly certain I was picked over for hire because of their fear that the military might relocate us in a few years. Extremely unprofessional. Also, I recommend only applying to work here if you like being in a cold and sterile office environment.
