The interview process went well. I applied on Indeed and received and email to set up an interview time within 3 days. We met and discussed my job history. Even though I submitted my resume, the recruiter was unaware I was a former employee. We went on to discuss compensation. The compensation was included on the job posting. I gave my request which was within the range and was told they can’t offer it. They were looking to pay $20 less than I requested and that “the system automatically enters salary information” and they “have no way to change it.” I politely declined the low salary and the call was ended.
