Analog design related questions:
Mostly RC circuits and Opamp design related questions.
They also asked regarding my work experience and previous projects that I had worked on.
How to design an LDO, and design considerations for it?
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Puttūr, Karnataka) in Sep 2025
Interview
There were questions related to RC circuits, steady state, diode circuit, Truth table of given Digital circuit, Op amp basic configuration outputs.
Concentrate mostly on RC circuits.
The first round had 20 questions and time given was 1 hour. They don't expect you to solve all the questions. They observe your working sheets.
Second round was descriptive answers round. There were questions again on RC, resistors combinations, Timing constants. It had 13 technical and 3 aptitude questions.
Total 3 technical rounds. Questions mostly based on prior projects and analog design fundamentals. RC circuits - step, impulse, ramp, pulse response, CMOS basic amplifier stages, differential amplifiers and current mirrors.
