I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini Engineering (Zürich) in Sep 2022
Interview
Process was fast, but quite disorganised and reply received was just a standard email after having 2 interviews. That was very disappointing and unprofessional.
I had 2 phone interviews + needed to sign NDA plus redo my complete CV in CapGemini format + one Pager ppt, which takes lots of time + made myself available at a short notice for 2 interviews.
Job specs was very generic with few bullet points.
HR had no real clue of what they were looking for.
Team Manager seems more interested in assessing how he could place me to the next project, rather than focusing on the current one
After interview 2, they said "we are fast and we will get back to you in 2 days". They wouldn't have done it if I didn't follow up and requested an update.
When I received the standard copy/paste email HR (from another HR person, not the one I talk to), I requested a detailed feedback.
The other HR people called me. In the end, it was due to budget reasons. I was surprise also to hear from that person "That's part of the game"...well maybe for CapG looking for work is a game, but I guess for candidate it is not. She also mentioned "I made myself available and call you"....well thank but that is your job and you own the process
Clearly this company doesn't care about candidate time invested in the process and you are seen as a resource, not an individual.
Advises to CapGemini Engineering
- Get a clear job specs and clarity and what you are looking for
- Get the salary range and be open to that upfront. So that both part don't waste time
- No need to ask for NDA, one pager, CV detailed in CapG if the above is not validated
- Understand this is not a game and candidate's time is also very valuable
- Understand you are giving a bad reputation by acting in this way. Getting a standard email after 2 interviews and not having the decency to call the person and explain verbally, is totally unacceptable
