The interview process feels inconsistent and poorly structured. Communication is often slow or unclear, leaving candidates unsure of next steps or timelines. Multiple rounds may overlap or repeat the same questions, giving the impression that the process lacks a coherent design. Overall, the experience can feel disorganized, frustrating, and lacking professionalism.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the questions they asked was extremely detailed, almost to the point of micromanagement. It felt less like a genuine discussion and more like an interrogation session, where the focus was on minute specifics rather than understanding your broader experience, skills, or problem-solving approach. This kind of questioning signals a tendency toward over-scrutinizing employees, emphasizing control over trust, and prioritizing process over thoughtful dialogue.
It gives the impression that the work environment may involve heavy oversight, lack of autonomy, and a culture where every minor decision could be questioned rather than empowering employees to take initiative.
I had a great experience interviewing with Carbonfuture. The process was structured, transparent, and respectful from the start. Communication was clear, timelines were communicated upfront, and the interviewer was well-prepared and genuinely interested in understanding my background.
The conversation with HR felt collaborative rather than stressful, and I left with a very positive impression of the company culture.
Even though I wasn’t selected to move forward, the feedback was honest, kind, and delivered in a thoughtful way. I would definitely apply again, when I had more experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you tell me a bit more about the back-end experience you have?
In what environments you worked before in terms of the team?
One interview with the TA. They never showed up for the first call. No reply. I had to follow up and re-book the meeting. After the call I got a week later a generic decline. Seeking for feedback was pointless. No response.
