Thank you for this constructive feedback. I appreciate that you see Cengage as a leader in the eLearning field and a company you saw potential in working for. I also apologize for your negative interview experience. It is always encouraging to have interview candidates arrive to an interview having done their research about a company. As you stated, Cengage has gone through a number of transitions through the past two years, including successfully emerging from Chapter 11 in 2014. I’m unsure where you may have heard our CEO say we’re laying off half our workforce – this is not the case. We have about the same number of employees as pre-Chapter 11. We do have a lot of different jobs than we had 3+ years ago, as we’ve tremendously built out the software side of our operations, and continue to do so; in fact, we’ve converted many contractors in this area to employees. Managing costs is always important, but this extends much beyond headcount. While we make every effort to provide a response to every candidate after an initial screening, it seems we fell short this time. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors and hope you continue to keep Cengage Learning in mind should you come across another opportunity that interests you.
