Checkbook interview questions

I recently went through the interview process for a Customer Service Representative position. The initial HR screening was warm and professional. However, the process overall involved five stages, including a panel interview and a presentation. For a CSR role, this felt quite extensive compared to other companies hiring for similar positions. During the process, I learned that the company holds daily all-hands meetings, which made me curious about how autonomy and structure are managed within teams. In the second round, I met with a Customer Success Manager who wasn’t the direct supervisor for the role. Much of the conversation centered around gaps in my résumé. While that’s understandable, it took up a large portion of the time, and I got the sense that my materials might not have been reviewed in depth prior to the call. The company positions itself as highly selective in hiring, which I respect. That said, some aspects of the communication and structure felt inconsistent. For example, after completing multiple rounds, I received a standard rejection email without any feedback. While I appreciate that companies have different hiring processes, my experience didn’t fully match the expectations I had based on the role and public perception of the company’s culture.
