      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle

      Interview

I submitted my resume via their website after finding the job posting on Monster. In about a week I received a link for an online interview. The link was very user friendly, but I bombed the interview. It started with a few typical "practice" questions that I can not remember, but they were not out of line for an interview. Then you are given 5 or so questions. After each question you are given 60 seconds to think it over and then 2 minutes or so to answer. Again, the questions were typical, but pointed And not about the Chipotle culture as I had anticipated. I swear I have been asked these questions in the past and had no issue resoinding, however, that was not the case on this day. I found the processawkward and disliked it greatly. It felt as if I was talking to myself about myself and all the while staring at myself in the camera/monitor. After each question, I took a breather and told myself not to focus on it, but this did not work. Once it was complete I immediately emailed the recruiter whose email was on the interview link an email. I briefly told her that I did bad and I didn't think it was a good representation of myself and to please give me another chance. 8 days later I received a thanks but no thanks email...

      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Chipotle (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2015

      Interview

Interview process is LONG. Applied in June, received an email in July asking me to do a video-interview recording your answers online. The video is a little awkward - you have 30 seconds to think about what you are going to say and about 2 minutes to answer each question. Most of the questions are about your personal background and a little bit about what you know about Chipotle. 3 weeks later I received a phone interview with 4 member marketing team. The phone interview was much more relaxed and conversational. Two weeks after that, I received an in-person at a coffee shop with a local Chipotle marketing rep. This interview is a little more formal but is really in place to get a personality feel. It is very important that you understand how to market in the target area. They like to know that you are educated with programs and activities in the city and have ideas on how Chipotle can get involved. There were two additional stages that I did not advance to following the in-person. One is a group in-person interview with several members of the regional marketing team and the final interview is a phone screen with one of the senior marketing folks at their corporate office. All in all, this is a LONG process. The job is work from home with lots of travel and pays well. They estimated 50-60K with performance bonuses.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How to market in your local area? If you met someone who had never heard of Chipotle, how would you describe it? Why Chipotle?
