I was contacted on LinkedIn by the recruiter for the job and set up a time to speak with him the following day. He was effusive in his feedback and even putting in writing "this will be a great move for you in your career." He set me up to speak with the hiring manager who was so obviously disinterested from the start. His camera "wasn't working" but I had mine on so I was just speaking to a black screen for 30 minutes. The hiring manager spoke monotone the whole time with zero follow-up questions and made the whole experience very negative and transactional. Terrible experience and felt like I was contacted out of no where and ended up wasting my time.
