Chronicled interview questions

First a phone screen with a recruiter, then a preliminary behavioral + technical interview, asking a question about how to implement an example app, then a technical interview with a developer.

After seven 45-min interviews plus an initial long conversation with a recruiter, and after getting positive feedback after each round, I was told that after reevaluating their team's technical needs, they would not be moving forward at that time. So what had been an enjoyable process for the most part turned out to be an enormous waste of time and effort (and their own interviewers' as well!). No idea if they understand that --or care; obviously I would have appreciated if they had stopped the process much earlier.
