Circle interview questions

I am unsure of the whole process, as the communications and process were unprofessional. I was asked to do a 1-2 hour technical project without even a phone screen or basic interview first. Recruiter would not answer basic questions about the role, telling me that if I wanted to learn more I should do the unpaid coding exercise first and then ask.
