The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cirrus Logic (Austin, TX) in Sep 2011
Interview
They gave a 2 page list of possible subjects that the interviewer could ask me about, but the interviewer actually didn't ask me anything of that nature. It was very casual, like a one and one talk about what makes me stand out from others. Took a few weeks to get back to me.

Interview
Received an email to schedule a phone interview from HR. The interviewer who I was scheduled to take interview with got stuck in work so I was interviewed by his colleague. The interviewer was friendly. After getting through the first phone interview I had second phone interview with Sr Validation engineer. He asked lot of technical questions. After getting through that in couple days I received an email to schedule third phone interview , which was shortly replaced by an on site interview.
In couple of hours after this , I received an email rejection saying that the executive management believes I do not meet the criteria for the further guidelines for the position! I was pretty disappointed and taken aback to receive rejection in this manner , as I was pretty serious about the job and prepared really hard for the interviews. This might be really small thing for hiring managers to do but might not be a small thing for interviewees. I just advice to to the executive management to make up their minds before conducting the interviews and actually review the applications along with the resumes. I would have been happy to be rejected after the second interview in stead of being accepted for the third interview and rejected without even interviewing.
