I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cloudera (Budapest) in Dec 2015
Interview
I was contacted by Cloudera's recruiter on LinkedIn. First there was a Skype interview with him which was a light chat about regular stuff. After that I have received an online programming challenge from Codility. Then three technical phone interviews followed with software engineers (firstly only two were planned but the interviewer was late from the first phone call and there were a lot of technical problems with screensharing). Then there were three onsite interviews on one day, two with software engineers and one with a hiring manager. Finally, after weeks, there was a last onsite interview with the very new hiring manager too. The whole process took 2 months including the additional administrative stuff (reference requests, etc.) which was way too long. Sometimes the process was really quick and interviews followed each other daily, sometimes I had to wait for 1-2 weeks for the next round and this was very frustrating. Also, a lot of other checks were performed related to my history which seemed a litte overkill to me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All technical interviews were about basic programming and problem solving questions (algorithms, data structures, etc.) with some testing questions and also some programming language or technology specific topics. The further parts were about typical interview stuff, e.g. experiences, future plans and so on.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cloudera (Manipal) in Sep 2025
Interview
It had 3 rounds. 2 technical and 1 managerial/technical. Both the technical rounds includes a DSA question each. First round they asked me solve the DSA question followed by the question I could solve in the OT.
Since my entire resume was ML based, all the rounds focused on ml fundamentals.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cloudera
Interview
three total rounds: Technical screen --> phone screen --> final round onsite; leetcode style questions and standard behavioral questions. Fast process and technical questions are framed with relevance to the work being done. Everyone was very friendly and helpful
