      Senior Analyst Interview

      Dec 9, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Reston, VA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at College Board (Reston, VA)

      Interview

I was introduced to the company through a Recruiter who arranged a phone interview with the company. I had the phone call where I was asked to tell the interviewer about myself and why do I think I qualify for the position. I was given a work situational question. I was told there is no right or wrong answer. The interviewer said the question's purpose is so he can hear my analytical and problem solving thought process. The following week I had a 1:1 meeting with the hiring manager. A few days later I had another interview with his manager and about 48 hours later I got the offer.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at College Board

      Interview

A lot of interviews! Phone screen, phone interview with hiring manager, in-person interview with VP in Reston, one afternoon of three in-person interviews in New York, and finally another phone interview; all of this over the course of a month or so. Everyone seemed very nice despite bad reviews here on Glassdoor. Ultimately I put a lot of time and effort into the interview process and thought things were going well but was rejected a few days after my last interview, which was frustrating. They were, however, kind enough to tell me that I was rejected and to do so relatively quickly, which you don't get from a lot of other places. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

A lot of questions about "Why do you want to work here?" and "what made you apply for this job?" Two different interviewers gave me a short test.
