Contacted initially by HR saying they wanted to interview me after submitting a resume a month prior. Heard nothing for a week, then was scheduled with the hiring manager. Was scheduled for and met with 2 separate panel interviews with 2 people each over a month later. Cue another month+ and I am asked to submit two PRFAQs pitching 2 new product features. I then present the details to 10 people, before meeting separately with 9 of that group across three additional panel interviews. Then, I have a final interview with the hiring manager again. After another 2 weeks, I meet with the hiring manager who tells me I did not get the job. He could have told me that over the phone. After so many hoops, it was a crap shoot between me and one other person. Actually was made at myself for tolerating it. I promised myself I would never go through so many rounds again, nor would I ever give away my intellectual property for free.
