      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Applied online, then was emailed to take an assessment test. This included the typical questions you see on employment surveys and an interactive simulation of taking customer calls. It's super important you pay attention as you are timed and if you need things repeated or hit the hint button it adds to your time. A few days after completing this a recruiter emailed me asking to schedule a 1:1 phone interview. Called right on time, asked lots of "Describe to me a time when," questions. Then described what the job. He then offered me face to face interview which would take place a few days later. Large group interview that included an information session. Got a brief introduction to the company, included info about benefits and incentives. We were then paired up with several managers to have a one on one interview. More "Describe a time to me when you..." questions. After this the manager excused herself to speak with her supervisor. This was the point in the day I noticed other candidates being thanked for their time and they would be in touch. When she returned I was told I was invited to have an interview with her manager. After she thanked me and said they would be in touch. Two days later I was offered a position and start date for my class which I accepted. They emailed me links for my background check and drug test. -Be super early to your face to face interview. I'm talking 20 minutes early. The interview starts on the dot at 10am. -Take notes in the information session. And participate when they ask questions. -You get 8 weeks of paid training! Amazing as I've never worked for any other company in all the realms of customer service that put that much into prepping their employees before they are on the "sales floor". -The recruiters and managers were super friendly and flexible as far the interview process!

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comcast (Aurora, CO) in Nov 2016

      Interview

The process was fairly challenging. A lot of behavioral analysis. Call simulation test. And a couple of assessments. In person interview was a hour and a half. They ask you for several examples of dealing with difficult people. They ask a lot of the same questions in different ways so make sure you have your stories straight.

Customer Service Representative - Repair Interview

      Sep 15, 2016
      Anonymous employee

      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast (North Charleston, SC) in Sep 2016

      Interview

I did the application online & within 72 hrs they emailed me an assessment. Assessment was simple. Answering a few calls & chose the best answers & questions based off personality & behavior; about 45 - 60 minutes long. After assessment, received a phone call to schedule phone interview. Questions during phone were asked off of prior work experience & a description of job requirements. Example: explain a situation where u had to deal with an irate customer. After phone interview, I was scheduled for a face to face interview. It was a 2 part process. Began with a seminar about the company which was amazing; the I spoke with a supervisor & she asked me some pretty detailed questions regarding work experience where I had to give detailed answers. It wasn't hard but it definitely makes you think. Second part, I spoke with some else who asked me if there's anything else I would to add about myself & I had already done some research on the company so I just explained why I would be a great asset. Also asked where do I see myself in 5-10 years. After about a week, a received a phone call to accept the position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Give me an example when you didn't know an answer & what steps did u take to help the customer?
