Converge (UK) interview questions

Fast and focused. Was completed within 14 days. Interviews included conversation with design lead and head of product, where candidate is expected to present case studies of past work. This was followed by "workshop" where interviewers and candidate collaborate to solve a design problem. Purpose is to test candidate's approach to problem solving. Final round includes conversation with CTO and CEO.

- Call with HR - Take home exercise - basic CRUD app Failed the take home exercise. I didn't get any useful feedback relating to what I actually did and I felt mislead for having my time wasted. Did everything as per requirements but the person giving feedback wasn't grading the requirements. I failed because I hadn't included tests. (or because I had left 10 lines commented out - the only things they commented on in their feedback). Had they mentioned tests even once, of course I would have included them. I recommended they not mislead more people in future interviews and include what they are actually grading on in their requirements. I would recommend avoiding this company if they would be so bookish and stuck up to fail you on something they didn't mention.
