First, the internal recruiter told me he'd be running late to our call. Once we got on our call, he said he had to run to get a brownie at the cafeteria before they closed an apologized for the delay. After the quick phone screen he told me the hiring manager will be in touch with me. First interview with the hiring manager was great. He even lived near me before moving to Colorado. I though we had grown rapport. He let me know he wanted to set up a second interview before he hands me off to the highter ups. He then said he needed to reschedule because he was sick with Covid, which I was made aware of. I agreed to reschedule. While the hiring manager was out sick, I sent him a LinkedIn certification that I obtained for PPC, since it was in high regards to the role I was applying for. I almost automatically got a auto response wishing me luck in my job search. I quickly forwarded the email to the recruiter asking if it was sent by mistake because the hiring manager told me he needed to reschedule. No response from either of them. Highly disappointed but was told this was the norm. Don't get your hopes up.
