I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DeepCode in Nov 2020
Interview
Got messaged over LinkedIn by a 3rd party recruiter working for the company. Our conversation was really awkward, as my profile, experience and answers to a recruiter's questions were mocked at. I felt it was a chat at some anonymous image board than a professional conversation. Wouldn't work for a company that is so laid back about their recruiters.

Question 1
Are you ready to be a remote freelance self-employed worker and how much you would charge for your services?
Hello, DeepCode works with a single very professional recruiting boutique company. There are many recruiters that try to propose unsolicited applicant s to us, and we can only assume that it has been one of those unprofessional recruiters contact you.
Please reach out to us and we will be happy to discuss open and future position with any qualified candidates.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DeepCode
Interview
The process was that there was not a process.
I learnt about the company online and I liked the idea.
After that, I checked out for job vacancies and there were none; only in a small corner in the website stating that if you're interested in the company you could write an email. So I did.
After a week or so, I got an email in order to arrange an interview.
At the (google hangouts) interview, I am immediately asked technical questions.
The interviewer never introduced himself nor the company to me, nor the position I was applying.
Then he tried to do the "google" interview with me and asked me to solve some algorithmic problem in google docs.
After I solved it, it was very very awkward, did not state when I will have results, just said thank you and hung up.
It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever witnessed. Massive RED FLAG.
And of course, I did not receive an email of any kind after this.
