The interview process was one of the worst that I've encountered (and I've interviewed with multiple companies - from McKinsey to Google..etc).
The calibre of the recruiter was extremely low, and every single director I spoke to, was late for the interviews - from 15 mins late, to a no-show (I waited for 30 mins on the phone).
When I finally got them on the phone, they were pleasant and open. However, I found myself very surprised by the quality of answers to my questions from these supposed seasoned leaders. Answers were absolutely fluffy and lack lustre - it was difficult to respect them.
Through conversations with them, I got an insight into the psyche of the company and realised that it is an incredibly bureaucratic, hierarchical, staffed with senior leaders who seem to be a more than little insecure. Concrete examples of "innovation" and having an "open door policy" included celebrating birthdays (?).
It sounds as though they have many projects in the pipeline and insufficient talent, so that is a plus.
I decided to remove myself as a candidate as I was deeply unimpressed with the calibre of the recruiter and also, the directors at the company, and could not see myself working there.
