I knew someone who referred me for a contract BA position in 2010. I interviewed the hiring manager who hired me and submitted me to a management company on the preferred vendor list. That company is great as well. I was quickly assigned to some high profile projects. The hiring process has since become much more complex, as I understand it, since a new vendor management company has been used.

Three hour long panel interview with hiring manager and two team members. Virtual coffee chat with employee in similar role. Presented a project using data visualization and data analysis from previous role to demonstrate skill set and experience.

It was alright. More than 5 people on the phone. Friendly. To the point. They were reading from a script that was sure. It was first a phone interview then an in person with 2 people. I got the results the next morning.
