      Train to Hire Interview

      Jan 25, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank in Dec 2014

      Interview

Applied online and received a phone call offering a phone interview a few days later. Agreed a time for the interview, and was told roughly what the interview would involve. Phone interview itself involved a discussion of my CV and application form, followed by three competency-based questions. I was told the outcome straight away and received an email invitation to assessment centre. Assessment centre was a half-day (10am-3pm) in the main offices. First hour was an introduction; icebreakers followed by a short presentation about the Bank, followed by a 1hr group planning exercise in a group of four. After this there was a 30 minute written exercise, and finally a 1hr one-to-one interview with a member of the Bank. The final interview followed the same format as the phone interview, but longer and in more detail. I was asked 9 competency-based questions. Once this was completed, we were given a chance to talk to some of the current interns on the programme and ask questions. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the day, and the process was fairly relaxed.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank (Auburn, AL) in Mar 2016

      Interview

The interview was relaxed, 30 min, and with two people. They asked about my academic career, goals, and interest. They did not ask any difficult questions. The questions were all about me and what I had done. They told me they would get back to me in a week which turned into three weeks. I was declined on the fact that my ambitions did not align with theirs.

Many of the questions were scenario based or current issues that have arisen at my job. The interview overall was very relaxed. 2 days after the interview I was offerred the job.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank (Jacksonville, FL) in Nov 2015

      Interview

Had an interview for the train to hire program it overall was very straightforward. The questions were all behavioral so it was hard to prepare for in that sense. A lot of when this happened tell us a story on how you dealt with it and they want to see how you explain your traits.
