I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Oct 2015
Interview
There was an on-campus interview at my university that was entirely behavioral. There was a pre-night at a nice restaurant the night before, which was helpful to calm any nerves and get to know the interviewers. At the end of my interview I was asked to describe how I would tackle a specific marketing problem. I think they were looking at my problem-solving abilities.
The next stage was at Discover Headquarters, where there were two behavioral interviews and then a group case.

hackerrank for 75 min, 15 min recruiter screen, 45 technical (going through your hackerrank; make sure to explain your coding thought process) and behavioral interview. Asking questions like what drew you to discover and where’d you hear about the opportunity.
I had 2 rounds of interviews (I believe that 3 is the new standard). For both interviews, it was really easy to speak with the recruiter and share my experience.
